Thank you all for coming with us to the Pumpkin Patch this year. It was cloudy and after tiring Fundraising event the night before, it was fun to see that the families still have the Halloween spirits. So, every kid left with at least one pumpkin on hand. Make sure you don’t forget to submit the picture of your awesome carved pumpkin soon to kkioregon@gmail.com. Happy Halloween.

Thank you to all who attend the mass and more importantly for parents who dressed up their kids for the Costume Competition, as you can see “Age doesn’t matter”. Since all our kids are growing up, the Costume Competition age restriction is growing with them as well. So, big hugs and thanks to our pioneers this year, Marjono and Nolan. Hopefully we’ll see family in costume next year, perhaps Gotham-City theme will clash with the Enterprise once again.

Thank you all for coming to our annual Fundraising events. Many have questioned if this was our first time. Actually, this year is our third time having Food Bazaar/Fundraising event. The first two years, we’ve combined the event with the Badminton tournament at a gym nearby. But this year we’ve decided to be back at our own backyard, St. Michael Church. It was heartwarming to see so much support from the local community to raise money for KKIOR. It has been an important event for us as a group and most importantly it has been a great opportunity to meet with other Indonesian community. Great thanks to all chefs, the food were unspoken of. I’ve heard many requests to have the bazaar twice a year, so we’ll keep you posted if that will be a reality in the future.
Many thanks also to all volunteers for setup, throughout the whole event and clean up. Last but not least to performers: Felicia, Om Pieter, Tante Liony on vocals, Andrew on bass/guitar, and Jasmine the “Jazzie” saxophonist. Special thanks to our guest performers: Mia on vocal and Johnny on keyboard. Truly blessings to have you both supporting our event. Most importantly, thank you to Father Mayo for opening Ballestra Hall of St. Michael Church tonight.
